Getting the branches trimmed is also important to make sure that your tree can properly support itself and that there is a proper equilibrium because you want to make sure that your branches and crown are not heavier than the trunk and base of the tree. Pruning gives you the option to be able to control how your tree looks and gives it a more appealing look.
