Did you know that moving companies charge for boxes? Of course, they do and you are going to need lots of boxes to store your items. Everything goes in boxes. Your dishes, your clothes, your tools, and most of your valuables will be placed in boxes and wrapped up before they are loaded on the moving truck. Well, you can eliminate some of that initial cost when you go out and get your own free boxes. There are tons of big box stores or even local moving companies that will be more than willing to provide you with free moving boxes.

Pack Your Own Stuff

Speaking of boxes and packing, most moving companies are also going to charge you for boxing and packing up your items. If you have the time this is something that you can your family can do together. It will not only save you some money, but it might make the unboxing process easier and faster because you will be familiar with the items and the layout.
