How GITI Online Made it to the Top of Plus-Size Retailers

Retail outlets are progressively making strides in incorporating plus sizes into their selections.  However, that was not always the case and there are definitely still ways to go in that arena.  However, one particular ecommerce platform, GITI Online Inc. is making strides in that regard and even ranking its way to the top of plus-size attire suppliers.  The website features all types of clothing from legwear to tops and dresses and is inclusive to all types of body types and sizes.  This means that when it comes to plus-size, one can expect to find an extensive selection and variety of fashionable and expressive pieces.

GITI Online Inc. was first formally founded in 2003 by Christopher Chong.  However, at that time it was not exactly known as “GITI Online Inc.” but rather only as “GITI” because the online, ecommerce component came later on.  In 2003, GITI featured a physical, in-person shopping layout as a shop amongst many in Oak Mall of Gainseville, FL.  Since, GITI has become more mainstream and has shifted its headquarters to Miami, FL.  The business owner, Christopher Chong started his company, GITI, with the ambition and aspiration in mind of supplying trendy clothing pieces for young women especially those in college.  Knowing that college life comes with a series of expenses such as tuition, dorm-life and more, he wanted them to be able to sport the fashion of their choices that allowed them to freely express themselves but without the hefty price tag.  Through both its affordability and stylishness, GITI gained popularity and momentum and Chong even went on to serve as the so-called middle-man in supplying wholesale clothing items to other entrepreneurs looking to start similar styled business layouts.

As successful as GITI was becoming, having a brick and mortar layout undoubtedly has its limitations as it is not able to reach the scope of as many in comparison to an ecommerce, digital layout per say.  Especially in the age where digital marketing and ecommerce are becoming more mainstream, Chong knew if he hoped to keep making something of and building up GITI, he would have to keep up.  That is precisely when GITI became “GITI Online Inc.”.  Through the launch of GITI Online Inc.’s website as well as the aid of advertising and marketing through social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, GITI Online Inc. became more widely known and orders started to steadily build up initially starting with only a couple a week to a series weekly and a build up of recurrent customers.

Naturally as more orders funneled in, Chong noticed that there was a similarity and popular component behind specifications for orders.  There was a demand for plus-sizes as Chong quickly picked up on the fact that there were many plus-size orders coming in.  Through that realization, Chong wanted to keep meeting that demand by ensuring that there was a wide selection and array of sizes and selections so that his website would be inclusive to all no matter the body type or sizes.  Chong’s ambition of supplying trendy pieces at affordable rates for young women to express themselves was one that he wanted to make sure extended to all.  That is precisely how GITI Online Inc. has managed to scale itself up so high especially among plus-size retailers – because of that very sense of inclusivity.  GITI Online Inc. guarantees that no matter one’s body build, there is something special and stylish equally for young women shopping on the platform.

GITI Online Inc. has been a long time in the making and has made major strides since its original opening in 2003 as a brick and mortar store.  The next feat Chong hopes to tackle is supplying internationally to further expand upon the sense of inclusivity.  Great things are coming for GITI Online Inc.  To keep up and stay updated with what’s in store for the ecommerce platform as well as upcoming new fashion pieces in the inventory, follow the social media handles: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and GITI’s very own website.
